raja_pramanik.jpgDr. Raja Pramanik completed his DM degree in Medical Oncology from AIIMS. He was recruited as a faculty in Medical Oncology at the Dr. B R A –IRCH, AIIMS, New Delhi in 2016. Caring for cancer patients, research to improve their care and clinical teaching are his greatest passions. Dr. Pramanik is a member of the multidisciplinary teams at Dr. B.R.A-IRCH taking care of gynecologic cancers (e.g. cancers in the breast ovaries and cervix) , hereditary cancers. He also has a keen interest in Clinical Cancer genetics, genetic counseling, and research. He is the principal investigator of the ICMR funded project entitled “Establishing a registry and germline DNA repository of breast and ovarian cancers with hereditary predisposition”. He is the clinician in-charge of the Familial cancer Clinic at BRAIRCH, AIIMS and administrator of the HBOC registry.

PROF. SVS DEODr. SVS Deo completed his Senior Residency in Surgical oncology at AIIMS and is in charge of the Delhi Cancer Registry. He is the professor and head of the department in Surgical Oncology at Dr. B.R.A- IRCH, AIIMS New Delhi. He is the Vice President of the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology and the Founding member & President of the Indian Society of Peritoneal Surface Malignancies. He also has a keen interest in Breast cancers, Head & Neck cancers, Sarcoma cancers, and Peritoneal Surface malignancies (Gastro and Gynaecological cancers). He also actively participates in Complex Surgical Oncology, Organ conservation, Oncoplasty, HIPEC, Cancer Genetics & Risk Reducing Surgery.

Dr Neerja Bhatla specialises in Gynaecologic Oncology and has undertaken numerous research projects in this field, in particular on cervical cancer prevention in low‐resource situations in collaboration with the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), Lyon, France and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, U.S. She has been working for the last 35 years to eliminate cervical cancer. She is the first woman doctor from India to grace as Chairperson of the Gynaecologic Oncology Committee with the International Federation of Gynaecology & Obstetrics (FIGO). She has Screened & treated over 50,000 women and organised cancer detection camps events, camp & activities to enhance awareness and participation among underprivileged sections of society.

Dr Ritu Gupta is Professor and Officer In-Charge of Laboratory Oncology Unit at the AIIMS New Delhi. She is the President of the Cytometry Society (TCS), India. She is a member of the Central Core Research Facility (CCRF) committee of AIIMS and has contributed particularly in the development of the Genomics and Flow cytometry facilities of the CCRF. Her major research interests are focused on translational research in hematological malignancies as well as setting up state-of-the-art technologies such as single cell analysis and next generation sequencing guided mutational landscape of hematological malignancies.

Dr. Sanjay thulkar is a Professor in the Department of Radiology at Dr BR Ambedkar Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, Since July 1995.
He has an expertise in Cancer Radiology, especially breast, gynecological and prostate imaging, Non-vascular interventional radiology. He has 180 publications in peer reviewed national/international journals.

He received his M.B.B.S, MD (Internal Medicine) degree from Banaras Hindu University, DM (Medical Oncology) from AIIMS, New Delhi. He has over 15 years of working and teaching experience in Medical Oncology and specializes in Breast Cancer, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and Chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He has gained International exposure in Europe, North America, UK, and Canada. His research is well published with more than 150 peer-reviewed articles in National and International oncology journals and is well cited. He has received the Dronacharya Award in the field of Oncology for his excellence.

He did his Fellowship in drug development and phase 1 trials in 2020 from lnstitute of cancer research, Royal Marsden Hospital, London, England. He have more than 20 publications till date..

DR. ATUL BATRADr. Atul Batra, received his MD and DM from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India. He did his senior residentship in Medical oncology at the Dr. B. R. A- IRCH, AIIMS, New Delhi He is a member of the multidisciplinary teams at Dr. B.R.A-IRCH taking care of Breast cancer, and Genitourinary cancers and routinely takes care of these patients in the OPD and wards. His major research interests lie in Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Renal Cell Cancer, Urinary Bladder Cancer, and Germ Cell tumors. He has been awarded the ASCO International Innovation Grant, the USA in 2021.

She has received the prestigious (International Union against Cancer Control) UICC Fellowship award, and in 2022, she has been awarded with the Oncocare legend award by Delhi Medical Association (DMA). She has undertaken numerous research projects in this field and is actively working in the field of gynaecological cancers.

She did her MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, and her M.D. ( general medicine) from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Later she joined the department of Medical Oncology as a senior resident at AIIMS, New Delhi, and later pursued super-specialization in Medical Oncology. Her areas of interest include Gall bladder cancer, gynae- oncology, geriatric oncology, and neuro-oncology. Her focus is on finding a low-cost alternative treatments to common cancers in India with poor prognoses.

Dr. Punit Kaur has research specialization in Bioinformatics, Structural Biology (protein homology modeling, molecular docking, virtual screening and detection of lead molecules), X-ray Crystallography, and Rational Structure-Based Drug Design. Her research also involves whole genome sequencing as a tool for drug development and to elucidate novel resistance genes and resistance mechanisms in clinical isolates of bacterial pathogens and genes implicated in disorders/cancers.

She received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Research from AIIMS, New Delhi. She went on for postdoctoral training in Molecular Immunology at Yale University School of Medicine, USA. Her primary focus is on translational research in haematological malignancies She has developed several collaborative studies involving state-of-the-art next-generation sequencing and single-cell analysis guided genomic landscape of haematological malignancies and solid cancers. During her postdoctoral training, She was awarded the Trudeau Postdoctoral Fellowship from Yale University and the Howard Hughes Undergraduate Science Education program fellowship for teaching.

He has a chief interest in peritoneal surface malignancies and he specializes in Heated Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) surgery. He is an avid researcher and has numerous publications in high-impact journals. He is a fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS) and the Association of Surgeons of India (FAIS).

He expertize in the fields blood Stem Cell/ Bone Marrow transplantation, Haematological Malignancies, (Multiple Myeloma, Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia) and Gynecological Malignancies. He is known to have developed cost-effective treatment protocols for sustained bone marrow & stem cell transplantation. The Government of India honoured him, in 2014, with the award of Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the fields of medicine.

Over the course of his 40+ year long career, he has successfully handled 10,000+ complicated gyne-oncological surgeries and trained hundreds of obstetrician-gynecologists.

He established the M.Ch. Gynecological Oncology course at AIIMS Dr. Kumar has published over 372 research papers in International and National Journals

DR. SHWETA K. SINGHDr. Shweta Kusmakar Singh received her Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the Unit of Genetics, Department of Paediatrics, AIIMS New Delhi. She passed the All India Council of Technical Education’s Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering in 2003. She has been awarded Senior Research Fellow (ICMR-2011). She has been in the field of molecular genetics for 13 years as Junior Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow and Senior Research Associate. She completed her postdoctoral research fellowship in molecular, cytogenetic, and genetic epidemiology and worked as a genetic counselor within the division of genetics at AIIMS. She is currently working as Scientist C at the Familial Cancer Clinic, Medical Oncology Dr. BRA- IRCH AIIMS, New Delhi. She is responsible for all experiments and data management of the project.

Sanchita Mitra has graduated from Gargi College, University of Delhi. She works as a Research Assistant in our Familial Cancer Clinic, Dr. BRA- IRCH AIIMS, New Delhi. She holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology. She has worked in the field of cancer genetics and oral microbiome of head and neck cancer patients.. She is responsible for overseeing all research activities, including experimentation, database creation and management, patient recruitment and follow-up, and research findings dissemination. She also assist with provider outreach and education programs via our website and social media platforms.

PARUL KATARIAParul Kataria has graduated from Lingayas Institute of health and sciences. She works as a Staff Nurse in our Familial Cancer Clinic, Dr. BRA- IRCH AIIMS, New Delhi. She has worked in Asian Hospital as a nursing staff as well as has managed covid patients during the covid pandemic. She is responsible for collecting the clinical data of patients and sampling by venepuncture. She also liaison with other specialties for surveillance and risk reduction surgeries and also educate patients and unaffected relatives to perform clinical breast examination and also coordinate with patients using telemedicine to ensure follow-ups.
